My friend, my sparrow ,
He was but a tiny fellow
He flit around and flew by my side
He was my friend, in which I took pride
Those ruffled feathers, those glittering eyes
Who looked upon me with grace
When he came to my windowsill to see my face
It was when in the scorching heat of may
His antics and enthusiasm washed my boredom away
Hopping from one place to another
Nibbling my ear, Catching my eye
As he heaved his chest, threw his wings
And dipped in the clear blue sky!
Hopping Chirping and Flying
Those days past with ease
With the creeping time
Our closeness increased
But it’s been a while now,
I haven’t seen him around
I have been worried sick
Is something wrong? Is he safe and sound?
If he’s been affected by mobile towers
We should be filled with remorse
Did they mistook for an agricultural pest?
Did the bird hunters never gave a thought about your chicks in the nest?
I wish to meet you again
I hope to feed you some grains…
Hear you chirp and twitter
See you happily flut and flitter!
Our friends, the birds are in a bind
Dear humans, help birds Be kind…
